I was doing a search on Magic.tcgplayer.com and found this little build for G/W which uses Rampaging Baloths and the Novablast Wurm... I am sure that I could do some minor changes to this deck list...
MAIN DECK
4 Birds of Paradise
3 Dauntless Escort
4 Loam Lion
4 Mycoid Shepherd
4 Novablast Wurm
3 Rampaging Baloths
4 Steppe Lynx
2 Terastodon
Creatures [28]
4 Harrow
4 Rampant Growth
Spells [8]
12 Forest
8 Plains
4 Sunpetal Grove
Lands [24]
SIDEBOARD
3 Groundswell
4 Journey to Nowhere
4 Oracle of Mul Daya
4 Summoning Trap
I would need to use the common G/W dual land that comes into play tapped and gains me One life instead of the Sunpetal Grove... I would take out the Birds of Paradise with four Scute Mobs as well as take out one of the novablast wurms for the landfall angel... All I would need would be the Novablast Wurms, the Terastodons, the Loam Lions, and the steppe lynx...
so the list would look like this after I would be done with the changes...
Main Deck
4 Scute Mob
3 Dauntless Escort
4 Loam Lion
4 Mycoid Shepherd
3 Novablast Wurm
3 Rampaging Baloths
4 Steppe Lynx
2 Terastodon
1 Admonition Angel
Creatures: 28
4 Harrow
4 Rampant Growth
Spells: 8
12 Forest
8 Plains
4 Graypelt Refuge
Lands: 24
Would use the same Sideboard...
Let me know of your thoughts on this guys... |

| That is true, however, I don't have birds and don't really know if anyone would have any to trade or what I have that would be worth birds... Until I am able to get better rares from the standard sets, I am going to have to make due with Scute Mobs as my one drop... |

This list will be better.
4 Steppe Lynx
4 Plated Geopede
4 Wild Nacatl
4 Harrow
3 Rampant Growth
3 Blood Braid Elf
3 lightning bolt
3 path
3 naya charm
4 Whooly Thoctar
2 Avenger Of Zendikar
4 Terramorphic Expanse
19 other Lands
Getting Fetch Lands for this Deck would obviously be optimal.
Whooly Thoctars can be cut for Knight of the Reliquery.
And Ranger of eos would be a strong addition to the Card pool.
I've cut the birds and made it a quicker curve. You can add Mycoid Sheperd if you take out Blood Braid but I think Blood Braid is beter. _________________ -Chainer

I would seriously consider Emeria Angel, shes not that tough to get, and can be quite a powerhouse. She also doesn't have a huge CC.
Garruk could also help, a little Overrun goes a long way.
So is Naya Charm better then Overrun?

I tried to make the list with stuff he already has. The charm IMO is better than Overrun for it's sheer flexibility. The Emeria Angel is good and if you were running a play set than yeah overrun likely better. However, if you were to change 4 drops I think Ranger of Eos is the best IM _________________ -Chainer

| Ok... So I tried Alain's build and just simply switched the Nacatl with Scute Mob as I feel that they will benefit more when I have more then five lands out, plus they add a bit of beef to the deck... I also took out the two avangers for two Rampaging Baloths to keep the landfall idea in play... However, if anyone has any Emeria Angels for trade, I would be appreciative as I would use those insteads.. I also just need Rampant Growths... Other then that, I feel that this build would work better for me... |
